As a little girl, anytime her Nonna Nancy and Nanny Francine were in the kitchen, Amelia would be nearby standing on the kitchen stool, eager to help. Whether it was helping her Nonna Nancy roll arancini, or making duck pate with Nanny Francine, these cherished moments shaped Amelia into the cook she is today. 

Whilst living in Beijing and working in fashion, Amelia was offered an opportunity that would fuel her life’s passion. An offer to manage an exclusive Italian restaurant! It was during this time that she realised that food & preparing food for those she loved, was her life. 

Upon her return to Melbourne, Amelia began to work with renowned local caterers, learning alongside talented chefs. Her love for cooking continued to grow, and organically, clients began requesting her food for their events. Et voila - La Francinette was founded!

Amelia sources all her ingredients locally, personally curating each menu inspired by the best seasonal produce.
